Hi, Ichthusians! How’s your day?
This year, Ichthus School West Campus, a prominent international school in Jakarta, enjoyed a very interesting educational trip to China. This trip was led by Ms. Sandra and Mr. Nikolas in collaboration with Ina Study. Our students from Grade 9-12, representing the diverse and global community of our school, enjoyed a trip to Nanjing Province from 13-17 September, staying at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) Dormitory.
There were many exciting activities carried out on this trip, emblematic of the rich experiences offered at international schools in Jakarta. On-campus activities included taking part in lectures, a special Chinese Culture class, and Campus Tours while enjoying daily activities. Furthermore, the students also enjoyed a variety of activities outside of campus, immersing themselves in the culture and scenery from the Purple Mountain, Xuanwu Lake, Fuzimiao, and Shenzhen.
At the end of the day, our students did not only learn about the university and its majors but also earned enrichment and inspiration from the Chinese culture. They made new friends, took a new step in independence, and discovered better opportunities & preparation for their future education. Such international trips are a cornerstone of the educational experience at Ichthus School West Campus in Jakarta, providing our students with invaluable global perspectives and a deeper understanding of different cultures. These experiences are vital in preparing our students to become well-rounded, globally competent individuals, ready to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.
