Ichthus Schools was established in 2001. 20 years ago (during this writing), when the founding director, Mrs SeeMun Suparno prayed earnestly in search of a school for her son, she was inspired by a vision to start a school, with the objective to teach students the way of the the Lord. Where is Ichthus located?
1.) West Campus
The West campus is located at Sunrise Garden in West Jakarta. The primary and secondary buildings are located in the same compound, providing ease of logistical arrangements for pick up of younger and older siblings. The school is located off, Jalan Panjang, a main arterial road that connects West Jakarta to other parts of Jakarta specially to South Jakarta. Facilities around West Campus include Puri Indah Mall, Griya Hospital and Jakarta Eye Center.
2.) South Campus
Likewise the South Campus, the primary and the secondary buildings are located at the same location. Annexed to the primary building, is our sister pre-school, Kinderland Kindergarten, an established preschool with 25 years of existence in Indonesia. The South campus is located at the end of Jalan Caringin Barat, in the suburb of Pondok Indah, South Jakarta.
What extra curricular activities does Ichthus provide?
1.) Music, Choir & The Performing Arts
Ichthus Schools have a long and strong tradition in the performing arts. The choir has a tradition of participating in district and national choir competitions and has won many awards. 3 times in a row, back to back winner of the Christian Choir Competition, our choir represented and will represent the city Jakarta again in the national competitions. Our students have competed in cities around Indonesia like Pontianak, Ambon and Yogjakarta in the finals and have sung to political dignitaries and VIPs as well. Music, both vocal and instrumental are compulsory subjects in the Ichthus Schools’ curriculum.
2.) Sports & Athletics
Ichthus excels in sports that foster teamwork and the sporting spirit. Both our boys and girls have won numerous competitions in interschool soccer and basketball competitions. Students can choose to participate in after school sport activities including Soccer, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Taekwondo or similar contact sports*
Who are our Alumni and where did they go?
Special to Ichthus, university preparation is a compulsory program that students have to attend as a scheduled lesson. The program provides a systematic approach towards exploring undergraduate study at universities. It is not uncommon that good students miss out on acceptance to good universities or scholarships due to the lack of experience, awareness and preparation. Our team of experienced counselors have build a database of knowledge and network to help our students in their journey in preparation to their choice universities from personal statements, interview coaching and deciding on majors.
